Mon jour de chance

Mon jour de chance is a comedy play written by Patrick Haudecœur and Gérald Sibleyras, adapted for Quebec audiences by François Chénier and Michel Charette. The story follows Sébastien, who reunites with childhood friends and recalls how they once made all their decisions by rolling a die — a seemingly playful method that turned out to have serious consequences.

At the heart of the play is Sébastien's obsession with a roll he made years ago: he is convinced that had he rolled a six instead of a four, his life would have turned out far better. When he finally gets the chance to roll that six, nothing goes as planned, and he is swept into a series of absurd alternate realities full of unexpected twists.

The production blends humour and intelligence to explore themes of destiny, coincidence, and the roads not taken. The ensemble cast features Anne-Marie Binette, Charles-Alexandre Dubé, François-Xavier Dufour, Hugues Frenette, and Élodie Grenier.

Performances take place at Salle Jean-Grimaldi as part of the Théâtre d'été Hors-Série programme: Friday August 28, 2026 at 20:00, and Saturday August 29, 2026 at 15:00.
