Pianist Schaghajegh Nosrati returns to Montréal following a warmly received performance at Festival Bach in 2025, this time to mark the festival's twentieth anniversary with an intimate and deeply personal programme.
The evening is devoted entirely to Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations (BWV 988), one of the most celebrated works in the keyboard repertoire. Nosrati approaches the score not as a monument to be conquered but as an ongoing dialogue — one she has cultivated long before her concert career began.
Her mentor, the renowned Sir András Schiff, has praised her playing for its "astonishing clarity, purity, and maturity." The German-Iranian pianist brings a rare depth of connection to this music, making her interpretation of Bach both intellectually rigorous and personally expressive.
A complimentary drink is included with the purchase of each ticket. The ticket price has been set deliberately to allow attendees the option to make an additional voluntary donation to the festival if they wish.
