Team Salsa Sextet

Team Salsa Sextet is a salsa ensemble whose sound bridges the streets of Havana and the Latino neighbourhoods of New York City. Their style — salsa del barrio — celebrates Afro-descendant rhythms passed down through generations, infused with improvisation and swing, and explores themes of exile, cultural resistance, and collective joy through sizzling percussion and a driving brass section.
