Sogol Mirzaei brings the refined art of classical Persian music to the stage of Hôtel de Lunas in Montpellier, performing solo on two iconic Iranian lutes: the târ and the setâr. Trained in Iran, she is rooted in the great learned Persian musical tradition and brings to it a deeply personal sensitivity, where virtuosity serves emotional depth rather than display.
The programme moves between improvisation and traditional repertoire, each piece offering a space for contemplation through delicate timbres, meaningful silences and intricate ornamentation.
