Richard Desjardins, one of Quebec's most celebrated poet-songwriters, makes a rare return to the stage for just two nights at Club Soda in Montreal — November 6 and 7, 2026 — as part of Coup de Coeur Francophone's 40th anniversary edition.
For these special evenings, Desjardins is joined by longtime collaborators Claude Fradette on guitars and Karl Surprenant on double bass. The intimate trio format brings a new depth to his catalogue, with the interplay of guitar and bass amplifying both the urgency of his engaged texts and the tenderness of his love songs.
The programme draws from across his songwriting career, with rearranged and revisited versions of fan favourites including L'étoile du nord, Atlantique Nord, Señorita, and Les Yankees, as well as lesser-heard gems from his songbook.
Presented by Records 117 and Coup de Coeur Francophone, with delegated production by Tryskell. Note: the November 7 date is listed as SOLD OUT.
