This double bill brings together two distinct multidisciplinary works for a limited run at รdifice Wilder | Espace Vert in Montreal. Performances take place on November 28 and 30 and December 1 at 7pm, and on November 29 at 4pm. An artist discussion is scheduled on November 30 following the performance.
The first work, Piece of Mind: Parkinson's (40 minutes), is created and performed by Piece of Mind Collective. Co-created with people living with Parkinson's disease, their loved ones, neuroscientists and artists, the piece weaves together dance, circus, theatre and first-hand testimonials to illuminate the experience of living with this neurodegenerative condition. It invites reflection on how the body and mind adapt when routine daily life is profoundly disrupted.
The second work, Regarde ailleurs (45 minutes), is created and performed by Maude Lecours & Gabrielle Marquis. This multidisciplinary and interactive performance combines contemporary dance with live music to explore the boundary between the world of children and the reality of people experiencing homelessness. The piece places children's imaginative aspirations alongside the everyday hardships of those without a home, meeting in a shared space defined by dignity and pride.
