NOLI follows Julian, an unemployed actress who makes ends meet by working as an early childhood educator. Caught between failed auditions and unsatisfying relationships, she channels her creativity into the imaginative stories she tells the children in her care.
When Julian stumbles upon NOLI, a feminist erotic audio app, the discovery upends her world and opens her mind to new perspectives. She begins to see parallels between how we communicate with childrenโwith sincerity, patience, and humilityโand how adults might better relate to one another.
Playwright Virginie Daigle uses the play to champion open and honest communication, the importance of setting personal boundaries, and the pursuit of relationships and experiences that truly reflect one's values. The work celebrates erotic art and sex positivity as tools of empowerment and self-discovery.
NOLI runs at La Chapelle Scรจnes Contemporaines in Montreal from Monday, February 15 to Saturday, February 27, 2027, with evening performances at 19:30. Tickets are available through Tuxedo Billet.
