MCR-T โ the alias of Berlin-born artist Julian McCarthy โ takes over Hangaren in Copenhagen for a late-night club session running from 23:00 on Friday, November 20 through to 06:00 on Saturday, November 21, 2026.
With Jamaican-American roots and a background rooted in Berlin's underground scene, MCR-T built his reputation through a raw, high-energy hybrid of Miami bass, booty house, ghettotech, and hard techno. His approach to performance is visceral: he treats his voice as a percussive instrument, equal parts rhythm and presence.
A veteran of Berghain, EDC, Nuits Sonores, and Boiler Room, MCR-T is a fixture on Europe's club and festival circuit. He is signed to the label LIVE FROM EARTH and has collaborated with Partiboi69, DJ Gigola, and SixSex. His 2024 album "NOT THE SAME โ " represents a distillation of his approach to dancefloor music โ rooted in 80s minimalism, 2000s internet culture, and Berlin rave aesthetics.
