This double-bill evening presents two original contemporary dance works under the umbrella of LABdiff 10, each running approximately 25 minutes. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance, and bar service is available in the space. A curator-led discussion takes place after every evening showing.
The first work, by Marcus Merasty, draws on narratives of human-animal transformation. Three performers explore the theme through somatic practices, soundscapes, and objects including moose hides, transmitting a deeply rooted Indigenous perspective on the body and the natural world.
The second work, by Noel Transcendance Vezina, is a solo piece built around obsessive repetition of movement sequences. Drawing from queer line dancing, the performance negotiates the fine line between endurance and authenticity, bringing a community dance form into the language of contemporary dance.
Tickets are priced at $25. The venue is Édifice Wilder | Espace Vert, Montréal.
