Every Monday and Tuesday from October through late March, the Public Observatory at the top of the Round Tower opens its doors for public stargazing sessions from 18:00 to 21:00. Visitors step beneath the newly restored copper dome and look through a historic telescope that has been finely calibrated by experts in Germany with the help of the tower's own astronomers. The telescope offers magnification ranging from 80ร to 450ร.
Admission to the observatory is included with the standard entrance fee to the Round Tower โ no separate ticket is required.
Please note that clear skies cannot be guaranteed. If weather conditions prevent observation, visitors are still welcome inside the observatory, where astronomers will share insights into the historic dome, the universe, and the telescope itself.
