LiY

LiY is a Montreal trio composed of Laurence Dauphinais, Simon Stephens, and Christian Lapointe, whose name derives from 'Live into Yours' — a phrase on the golden record launched into space in 1977. Their music is labelled post-trip hop electro clash, drawing inspiration from artists such as Portishead, Austra, The Knife, Spiritualized, PJ Harvey, and Björk, and exploring themes of cosmic longing, desire, and survival. Their live performances are enhanced by video work from visual artist Sabrina Ratté and backing vocals from singer Mykalle Bielinski.
