The Orchestre Classique de Montréal presents L'âme arménienne, an evening dedicated to the richness of Armenian musical heritage, led by guest conductor Adam Johnson alongside two celebrated soloists: soprano Aline Kutan and cellist Cameron Crozman.
The programme opens with the world premiere of Petros Shoujounian's Sinfonietta No. 3, followed by excerpts from A. Tigranian's opera Anoush. Also receiving its world premiere is Kevork Andonian's Cello Concerto, performed by Cameron Crozman.
The second half features A. Arutiunian's Sinfonietta for Strings, three songs by S. Soghomonian Komitas, and In Memory of an Artist by A. Hovhaness — a programme that traces the depth and diversity of the Armenian classical tradition.
The concert takes place on February 11 at 19:30 at Salle Pierre-Mercure, with a total running time of approximately 1 hour 45 minutes including an intermission.
