ESG Big Band Heidelberg

The ESG Big Band Heidelberg, nicknamed 'Big Bang', is the big band of the Protestant student parish (ESG) of Heidelberg. Founded in 2017, it has grown into an ensemble of 20 to 25 musicians — mainly students, recent graduates and doctoral researchers at the University of Heidelberg — whose repertoire covers jazz, swing, funk, latin, soul, pop arrangements and vocal pieces, always balancing improvisation with precise ensemble playing.
