Colombia, Full of Color - Julie Corbeil (Documentary Screening)

A documentary film screening presented by Les Grands Explorateurs, in which filmmaker Julie Corbeil explores modern-day Colombia — its resilience, cultural richness, and evolving identity — taking viewers from Bogotá to Medellín and the coffee-growing region.

Presented by Les Grands Explorateurs at Salle Jean-Grimaldi, this documentary screening invites audiences to rediscover Colombia beyond its turbulent reputation. Filmmaker Julie Corbeil turns her camera toward a country actively rewriting its story, drawing inspiration from exchanges with members of the Colombian community in Québec.

The film travels from the capital Bogotá to the Andes mountains, the coffee-growing heartland, and the creative neighborhoods of Medellín, capturing the voices of artists, entrepreneurs, coffee and cacao farmers, young activists, and everyday citizens choosing to be part of change.

Through these diverse perspectives, a vibrant, colorful, and festive Colombia emerges — one that takes pride in its cultural heritage, natural wealth, and creative energy. The documentary celebrates the resilience of a people redefining their national identity on their own terms.

Screening takes place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 19:00.
