Cabaret Voltaire, one of the most innovative and influential electronic acts of their era, take the stage in Montreal for this rare performance. Originally formed in Sheffield in 1973 by Stephen Mallinder, Richard H. Kirk, and Chris Watson, the band pioneered industrial music and later incorporated synthpop, techno, house and funk into their sound. Following Chris Watson's departure in 1981, the group continued as a duo before disbanding in 1994. Kirk revived the name as a solo project from 2009 until his death in 2021. Watson and Mallinder then announced a 50th anniversary performance in Sheffield in October 2025, and this Montreal date follows in 2026.
Support comes from I Speak Machine, an electronic project with a darkly cinematic edge.
The event is presented by Blue Skies Turn Black and Ciel Noir. Doors open at 19:00, with the show starting at 20:00. The venue is 18+ only.
