To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Festival International Bach Montréal brings its programming to Quebec City with a grand Baroque evening pairing two towering 18th-century composers: Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel.
Conductor John Butt, music director of the Dunedin Consort, leads the Orchestre International Bach Montréal through a triptych of landmark works. The programme includes Bach's Magnificat, Handel's Water Music, and Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3.
The vocal soloists are Myriam LeBlanc (soprano I), Elisabeth Boudreault (soprano II), Marie-Andrée Mathieu (alto), Petr Nekoranec (tenor), and Jonathon Adams (bass). Choir member-soloists include Len Torrie (soprano I), Charlotte Corwin (soprano II), Stéphanie Pothier (alto), Joé Lampron-Dandonneau (tenor), and William Kraushaar (bass).
