Angélique Kidjo

Angélique Kidjo is a Beninese singer and songwriter widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in world music over the past 30+ years. She is a multiple Grammy Award winner — including Best Global Music Album for Mother Nature in 2021 — and received the Polar Music Prize in 2023. Her 20th album, HOPE!!, features collaborations with artists across generations and genres, including Nile Rodgers, the Soweto Gospel Choir and Pharrell Williams, and she performed a symphonic version of Jerusalema at the 2024 reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, earning a Grammy nomination in 2026.
