Raster marks thirty years on 28 November 2026 with an anniversary event in Copenhagen, the Danish capital. It is a celebration of the label's story and of the community that has grown up around it, and it brings together longtime fans, the artists connected with the label and visitors who are simply curious about the work.
What the day is about
The event is built around experimental sound and culture, the territory raster has come to stand for over three decades. An anniversary is a natural moment to look back at what has been made and who has made it, and to meet the people who have followed the project along the way. For a first-time visitor, it offers an easy way into a scene that might otherwise be hard to find.
Why Copenhagen
Copenhagen is a fitting home for a day like this. As Denmark's creative capital, it has a dense cultural life, with galleries, music venues and independent spaces spread across neighbourhoods that are easy to walk between. Anyone travelling for the anniversary can plan time around the event itself and explore the city before or after.
Who it suits
- Fans of experimental music who want to see the label's community in person
- Visitors interested in contemporary art and culture in Copenhagen
- Anyone curious about a label that has reached its thirtieth year
Because the details of the programme are not set out here, it is worth checking the event's own information closer to the date for timings, venue and how to attend. Whatever the exact shape of the day, 28 November 2026 gives it a clear place on the calendar for anyone planning a trip to Copenhagen that autumn.
