Dance Me is Ballets Jazz Montréal's acclaimed tribute to the late Leonard Cohen, who passed away ten years ago. The show draws on sixteen of his songs — from beloved classics like Suzanne, So Long Marianne, Famous Blue Raincoat, Hallelujah, and Dance Me to the End of Love, to more recent titles — creating a seamless journey through his remarkable body of work.
The performance is the result of a creative collaboration between three choreographers — Andonis Foniadakis, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Ihsan Rustem — and stage director Eric Jean. The production is based on an original idea by Louis Robitaille and brings together their distinct artistic visions into a single, cohesive dance concert that is both physically powerful and emotionally generous.
Brought to life by BJM's 14 performers, Dance Me has already moved audiences in 96 cities across 17 countries. This Montreal performance at Théâtre Maisonneuve on November 26, 2026 at 20:00 offers a rare opportunity to experience — or rediscover — this celebrated work.
