About
  • The Shock Wave Festival was born out of a late-night call between two friends who shared a dream of turning the music they listened to every day into a live experience. This vision came to life in the summer of 2019, with the support of the municipality of Francavilla al Mare. The inaugural edition saw performances by established artists such as Rkomi and Ghemon, alongside emerging talent, all taking place in the picturesque Piazza Sirena. However, the years 2020-2021 brought uncertainty due to the pandemic, with the festival’s future hanging in the balance as it became subject to the unpredictable course of the pandemic. This tumultuous period put the Shock Wave project at risk. However, the initiative was revived thanks to Futura, a social promotion association, which successfully regenerated the project, ensuring the festival’s return and continued growth.
