Didon et Énée - Ensemble Les Surprises (Opera Performance)

Ensemble Les Surprises presents Henry Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas in a staged version at Opéra Comédie in Montpellier on 8 July 2026, weaving together Purcell's music with texts from Shakespeare and Virgil in a family-friendly spectacle that blends singing, acting, and dance. Directed and designed by Pierre Lebon, with musical direction by Louis-Noël Bestion de Camboulas.
