Oum presents her album 'Dialddar' in a live performance that weaves together Moroccan rhythmic traditions, vibrant choral voices and deeply personal storytelling. The record explores themes of family heritage, separation, love, memory and the lives of women.
The album is built on a radical minimalist foundation: voice and percussion alone, stripping music back to its most elemental origins. Instruments include bendirs, taarijas, calabashes, glasses, claps, body percussion and natural objects such as stones, water, salt and sesame seeds.
Faithful to her Moroccan roots, Oum revisits traditional styles through a contemporary and poetic lens, crafting songs that honour the past while speaking to the present.
The performance features a full ensemble: Oum (voice), Natascha Rogers (percussion, voice), Yacir Rami (oud, voice), Cynthia Abraham (voice, small percussion), Lucile Chriqui (voice, small percussion) and Ayda Benslimane (voice, small percussion).
