Linkin Park is an American alternative rock and nu-metal band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. Their debut album, Hybrid Theory, released in 2000, catapulted them to worldwide fame. The album became one of the best-selling albums of all time and remains their biggest commercial success. Over the years, the band has experimented with various musical genres, most notably with A Thousand Suns (2010). They have also collaborated with numerous artists, including rapper Jay-Z. By November 2013, Linkin Park had sold over 70 million albums and won two Grammy Awards.
