Thundercat in Concert brings the American bassist and singer to the stage at MTELUS in Montreal on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. It is a live show for anyone who wants to hear his music in person, in one of the city's established concert venues.
What to expect
The performance draws on funk, jazz and neo-soul, a blend that suits a room where the bass and the voice can be felt as much as heard. Those who know his recordings will recognise the mix of grooves and melodic singing; those newer to his work will find a concert that moves easily between the three styles.
The venue
- MTELUS is the concert hall where the show takes place.
- The event is set in Montreal, Canada, a city with a long tradition of live music and jazz.
Because the evening is a single live concert, it suits a planned night out rather than a casual stop. Visitors coming from further afield may wish to plan their stay around the date and combine the show with time spent exploring the city's neighbourhoods, restaurants and cultural life before or after the performance.
If you enjoy funk, jazz or neo-soul played by a bassist-singer with a distinctive voice, this concert on October 20, 2026 is worth considering, and it is a good reason to plan a trip to Montreal that autumn.
