GoGo Penguin โ the Manchester-based trio of pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka and drummer Jon Scott โ brings their distinctive fusion of jazz, classical music and electronic influences to Rockstore on 25 November 2026.
The show spotlights their new album Necessary Fictions, widely regarded as some of their most ambitious work to date. For this record the trio incorporated modular synthesizers, a Moog Grandmother and electric bass into their sound in unprecedented ways, resulting in a deeply personal and powerful collection.
Supporting the evening is Daudi Matsiko, joining them on the bill for what promises to be a rich programme of electro-jazz.
