Electronic Night: A Guy Called Gerald, gyrofield, Honeydrip & more

NOCTURNE 3 takes place on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Société des arts technologiques [SAT] in Montréal at 22:00 as part of MUTEK Montréal 2026. The night spans two floors — Espace SAT and the dome-shaped Satosphère — and moves through varied intensities of contemporary electronic music.

On Espace SAT: Manchester acid-house and jungle pioneer A Guy Called Gerald (UK) presents the North American premiere of "Black Secret Technology Reimagined". Hong Kong-born, Amsterdam-based gyrofield (HK/NL) delivers a world premiere blending drum & bass energy with glitchy electro. Montreal's Honeydrip (CA/QC) presents the world premiere A/V piece "v i b r a t i o n", exploring sub-bass as physical experience. South Sudanese/British producer Mia Koden (UK), also of Sicaria Sound, performs bass music rooted in sound-system culture at 140 BPM. Sara Persico (IT) closes the floor with "Sphêra", an ambient work built from field recordings of Tripoli's Experimental Theatre dome, created with collaborator Mika Oki (BE).

In the Satosphère: Elsewhere in India ft. Murthovic & Thiruda (IN) stages the indofuturist live performance/video-game experience "A Passage to India (2097)", blending colonial-era footage, AI-generated archives and animated folk art. Quebec City-born Florence-Delphine Roux (CA/QC) premieres "Tumulte de Kessler", composed from satellite signals and orbital frequencies. Chilean brothers Hermanos Riffo Gómez (CL/CA+CL/DE), Cristo and Francisco Riffo, fuse kinetic installation, biology-hacking electronics and generative music.
