Dzaïr - Sofiane Saïdi (Concert)

Dzaïr is a musical and poetic project by Sofiane Saïdi that journeys through the collective memory of the Mediterranean, weaving together its Algerian and French shores. The repertoire moves across languages, recollections, the scents of the sea, the light of cities, and the traces of exile.

For Sofiane Saïdi — known as the Prince of Raï 2.0 and celebrated for collaborations with Acid Arab, Rodolphe Burger, Ammar 808, Malik Djoudi and Camélia Jordana — the Mediterranean is not a border but a space of movement, encounter and shared history. Dzaïr is rooted in this intimate geography shaped by Algeria, France and the back-and-forth crossings that forge an identity in constant motion.

Every song in the programme is an original composition drawing on oral tradition, the narrative and social spirit of raï, and a pared-back musical language focused on the essential. Each text carries its own story.

The ensemble features Sofiane Saïdi on vocals, machines and keyboards, alongside Théo Ceccaldi on violin, Valentin Ceccaldi on cello, and Tao Ehrlich on drums.
