Barselona — the duo of Rud Aslak and Rasmus Theodor — returns to VEGA on November 6th for what promises to be a major live event. Active for over a decade on the Danish music scene, the band has built a reputation for high-energy concerts that range from anthemic choruses and bass-heavy beats to heartfelt piano ballads and communal singalongs.
In 2026, Barselona founded their own record label, RRekord, and released the single "Udsving" on February 20th — chosen as P3's Unavoidable on its release day. The single is a taste of an upcoming album due in autumn 2026. Another single, "Mørket falder ind", a duet with songwriter Karoline Funder, was released in March 2026.
Their fourth album, Væbnet Hjerte (2023), was acclaimed as a generational portrait and the band's finest work to date. Previous headline shows at Arena, Roskilde Festival and Northside's Main Stage have been praised by Soundvenue, who described frontman Rud Aslak as "born to be the frontman for the biggest rock band of his generation."
