Swashbuckling (or De cape et d'epee) is a bilingual English/French theatrical production presented as a guest show at Centaur Theatre in Montreal, running December 11 to 20, 2026. The piece is directed by Catherine Savoie with Federico Verdier Diaz as lead writer.
The play traces two brothers from childhood to adulthood through classical stage-fighting sequences drawn from iconic works including Romeo & Juliet and The Three Musketeers. At its core, the drama examines the complex relationship between brotherhood, masculinity, and violence.
