Screening: San Babila, un crime inutile

Home Cinema, an association dedicated to film culture, presents a screening of Carlo Lizzani's 1976 film 'San Babila: un crime inutile' at Halle Tropisme as part of the antifascist festival Les Fourmilières 2026, which runs from September 26 to October 10 across the Occitanie region.

The film follows a group of young Milanese neo-fascists over the course of a single day, building toward a senseless murder. Inspired by a real news story, it stands as a stark and uncompromising study of the banality of far-right violence.

Though largely overlooked today, the film is considered a radical work in Italian political cinema of the 1970s. The screening offers a rare opportunity to discover this bold and unsettling document of its era.
