Reconstruire

Reconstruire is screened in its original version with French subtitles. It is a US production running 96 minutes, rated G, and stars Josh O'Connor, Eli Malouff and Meghann Fahy.

The story centres on Dusty, a quiet divorced father whose ranch was destroyed in a devastating wildfire. He now lives in a community for displaced people run by FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency). There he finds comfort among neighbours who have also lost everything, and he slowly rebuilds his life and reconnects with his ex-wife Ruby and their young daughter Callie-Rose.

The screening is in the Grande Salle with assigned seating, as part of the Ciné-Club du Quartier series. A short discussion led by Pierre Sidaoui follows the screening, and everyone is welcome.
