Portugal. The Man formed in Alaska in the early 2000s and has spent more than 20 years building a reputation as one of the most original and experimental acts on the international scene. They come to Copenhagen for a show at Amager Bio.
Their 2017 album Woodstock went RIAA platinum. It included the worldwide hit "Feel It Still", which won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, went 7x platinum and spent a record 20 weeks at #1 on US alternative radio.
Their music moves between psychedelic moods, driving guitars and catchy melodies. With nine albums behind them, they are known for memorable live shows.
In September they released the single "Denali", which pairs heavy synth layers with grunge-inspired guitars and frontman John Gourley's distinctive vocals, and nods to the band's Alaskan roots. The audience can expect a high-energy show with new songs alongside classics.
