Meryem Aboulouafa is a Casablanca-born singer-songwriter and multi-language artist who crafts songs in English, French and Arabic. She began writing poems and composing music in the intimacy of her bedroom, guitar in hand, developing a deeply personal artistic voice from an early age.
Her debut LP, recorded in Paris with the support of Keren Ann and producers Para One and Ojard, weaves together folk, electronics and Middle Eastern sounds. Her most recent album, Family, takes listeners on a sensory journey through intimate yet cinematographic compositions full of tenderness, intensity and elegance.
For this performance, Meryem Aboulouafa is joined by Luke Anger on piano, guitar and arrangements, offering an intimate and carefully crafted live show.
