Jan Bojarski, a young Polish engineer, takes refuge in France during the war and uses his skills to make false identity papers under the German occupation. After the war he has no civil status, so he cannot patent his many inventions and is stuck in poorly paid odd jobs. A gangster then offers him a way to use his talents by forging banknotes, and he begins a double life hidden from his family. Before long, Inspector Mattei, France's best cop, is on his trail.
The screening is part of the Ciné-Club du Quartier series in the Grande Salle, with assigned seating. There are two showings, at 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
