Le dos de Suzanne is a Québec production by Création Dans la Chambre, co-produced with the Théâtre français du CNA and presented in collaboration with Théâtre de 4'SOUS. The text is by Gabriel Charlebois Plante and the direction by Odile Gamache. It is part of the theatre's 2026–2027 season, listed as Fiction 1 — Québec.
The story begins with a son watching his mother garden in the summer sun. Their love is deep, but it struggles to find words and comes out through food instead. She makes him peach toasts, banana milk and popcorn with corn syrup, each one a way of saying "I love you".
Blending autofiction and invention, the piece places an intimate story at the centre of the author's work, continuing his exploration of the uncanny. The performers are Louise Bombardier, Richard Fréchette and Jean Marchand.
The show lasts about one hour. Most evening performances start at 19:30, Saturdays at 16:00, and the closing Sunday show on 18 October at 15:00. On 7 October there is a post-show discussion with the creative team about the creative process.
Tickets are available through the theatre's box office at 514 845-7277 or online.
