Kaïros is a film by Jennifer Alleyn, presented as a Ciné-clap screening at Théâtre Desjardins in the Salle Jean-Grimaldi.
The story follows Manu, a 39-year-old actor who was once in great demand. After a year of shooting abroad, he returns to his hometown hoping to resume his career, but finds that getting back into the scene is harder than expected. After several unsuccessful auditions he doubts everything, and having left a woman behind in Poland, he feels unattached and considers leaving acting altogether. Unexpectedly, he lands a job hosting an open-line show at a community radio station.
The cast includes Emmanuel Schwartz, Olivia Palacci and Philippe-Audrey Larrue St-Jacques.
