Hvalfugl perform at Store VEGA in Copenhagen as a trio. Their music combines elegant piano figures, clear guitar textures and swaying double bass, with melodies that unfold slowly for the listener.
The concert is seated. Every ticket gives access to an unnumbered seat in the hall.
The trio released the double LP Bag Vore Øjne Strømmer Drømme Sagte Forbi last year, which brought in guest musicians and new musical ideas. Since their debut in 2017 they have become one of Denmark's most distinctive instrumental groups, moving freely between genres.
The members are Jonathan Fjord Bredholt (piano and harmonium), Jeppe Lavsen (guitar) and Anders Juel Bomholt (double bass). In 2025 they won 'Live Act of the Year' at DMA Jazz for their live performances.
