Presented as part of the Les Grands Explorateurs film-conference series, 'Colombie, tout en couleur' is a documentary directed by Julie Corbeil that offers a fresh, nuanced look at contemporary Colombia — a country long overshadowed by its turbulent past.
Inspired by conversations with members of the Colombian community in Quebec, Corbeil traveled through Bogotá, the coffee-growing region, the Andes mountains, and the creative neighborhoods of Medellín to meet artists, entrepreneurs, coffee and cacao farmers, engaged youth, and everyday citizens choosing to shape their country's future.
The film portrays a Colombia that is vibrant, festive, and proud of its cultural heritage — one that is actively redefining its identity on the world stage by drawing on its exceptional natural landscapes, rich resources, and creative energy.
The screening takes place at Salle Pierre-Mercure and begins at 13:30.
