Trokids: Halloween Mask-Making Workshop

As Halloween draws near, Halle Tropisme hosts a creative mask-making workshop for children (and the young at heart), led by Javiera Carrasco Núñez — a Chilean visual artist, performer and social worker based in Montpellier whose artistic practice centres on the art of the mask as a tool of bodily transformation and symbolic research.

Participants are invited to design, cut and decorate their own masks, bringing their wildest costume ideas to life in time for Halloween night. The session runs from 15:00 to 17:00 and promises a colourful, imaginative atmosphere full of creativity and fun.

Javiera Carrasco Núñez trained at the Escuela Popular de Artes de Calle (EPAC) in Valparaíso, Chile, and continued her mask and carnival practice at La Máscara Danzante in Santiago, with the company Yuyachkani in Peru, and in physical theatre with Tryo Teatro Banda. In France she has taken part in street arts festivals and live performance events, including the Festival Voyage au Cœur de l'Été in Amiens and the Fête de la Musique in Saint-Martin-d'Hères.

Tickets are available via Weezevent. Full details and booking on the Halle Tropisme website.
