Six researchers gather on stage at Nørrebro Teater to explore the shadowy counterparts of Western civilisation's core ideals — the good, the true and the beautiful. Their discussion spans topics including authoritarian tendencies, the spread of misinformation, aesthetic norms and the nature of political communities.
The evening is hosted by Anne Sophia Hermansen and features contributions from Mikkel Thorup, Mona Kanwal Sheikh, Vincent Hendricks, Kasper Opstrup, Maja Bak Herrie and Ulrik Langen.
Interwoven with the academic discussion are two staged arias created especially for the occasion by Marie Dahl Assembly. Opera soprano Nina Sveistrup performs Henry Purcell's Dido's Lament and Cold Song, works chosen to echo the themes of moral and aesthetic opposites explored throughout the evening.
