DJ HEARTSTRING is the Berlin-based production and DJing partnership of Leo and Jonas, a duo that has carved a distinctive niche in contemporary electronic music by blending euphoric, high-BPM trance-dance energy with genuine emotional depth. Their sets move fluidly between abandon and introspection, making for a dancefloor experience that feels both exhilarating and resonant.
The pair began producing together during the enforced pause of 2020, creating what they call "Trance Dance Music" from a single laptop. Jonas had previously honed his craft at legendary Berlin institutions Tresor and Magdalena, while Leo's path to the dancefloor ran through video games and a formative Netsky performance.
Since then, DJ HEARTSTRING have accumulated tens of millions of streams, a widely shared Boiler Room Melbourne appearance, and festival appearances across three continents. Their live sets weave together unreleased tracks, carefully chosen selections, and euphoric singalong moments into something resembling a shared emotional release.
The night at Poolen coincides with anticipation around their forthcoming EP, "You Are The Sun, I Am The Sky," recorded in rural isolation and set to push their sound into even more emotionally rich territory.
