Danses Buissonnières 2026 — Evening Programme

Seven young emerging artists present their first professional stage work under the Danses Buissonnières 2026 programme, with four performances at Édifice Wilder | Espace Vert: September 26 and 28–29 at 19:00, and September 27 at 16:00. A discussion with the artists follows the September 28 performance.

Five works were selected from 39 submissions by a jury made up of artists Sarah Elola, Nasim Lootij, Lucy M. May, Mukoma-K. J. Style Nshinga, and Charo Foo Tai Wei, reflecting the jury's commitment to an eclectic and wide-ranging programme.

The first work, EKSPRESYON's Entwospeksyon (10 min), is a multidisciplinary piece blending dance, sound, and visual art that explores the Haitian migrant experience and the realities of diaspora life, set around a café-bar worker named Kiskeya.

The second work, Maktoub : pas de bliss sans diss (10 min) by Dona-Bella Kassab & Shanyça Elie-Leconte, is a duet choreography exploring emotional healing, confrontation, and self-exaltation through movement ritual between two performers.

The third work, 'making life easier' (10 min) by Desirée Keresztes James, is a solo exploring the experience of living with artificial intelligence, examining how personal data is exploited and trust is manufactured.
