Born in 1971, Annette Lassen is a professor at the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics at the University of Copenhagen, with research specialising in Norse mythology and Icelandic sagas. She received the Danish Authors' Association's Non-fiction Award in 2020 for her extensive scholarly work on the Icelandic sagas and their universe.
