The discussion centres on the figure of Völva — the Norse seeress — and how modern readers can approach and interpret Völuspá (The Völva's Prophecy) today. The speakers reflect on why humanity continues to return to ancient myths as a way of exploring existence and the human condition.

Anne-Marie Vedsø Olesen is a Danish author whose work spans historical and mythological fiction. She has received multiple awards, including the DR Novel Award (2022) for Vølvens vej, Snehild. Annette Lassen is a professor at the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics at the University of Copenhagen, specialising in Norse mythology and Icelandic sagas; she received the Danish Authors' Association's Non-fiction Award in 2020.
