Mat Vézio presents the live launch of his fourth album, "Vingt mille pieds au-dessus de l'abysse", a record that nearly never came to be following a heart attack the artist suffered in May 2025. The launch show draws directly from that experience, shaping both its emotional tone and its visual presentation, which includes film projections throughout the set.
For the occasion, Mat Vézio performs in full-band formation alongside Amylie, Stéphane Bergeron (known from Karkwa), and Charles St-Amour (of Martin Léon). Together, the ensemble builds expansive, dynamic soundscapes that carry the songs far above the ordinary.
Opening the evening is Catherine Alone, the new solo project of Catherine Laurin, who is also known as the singer and keyboardist of Cosmophone. Performing solo with piano and a Dave Smith Instruments Prophet '08 synthesizer, she presents intimate and introspective songs that currently exist only in live settings.
Doors open at 19:00 and the show begins at 20:30. Tickets are priced at $20 (taxes and fees included) and are available through Le Point de Vente.
